Becher Street is located in the heart of the historic forks of the Thames River district.A footbridge at the end of the street over the river connects to the downtown area and parkland.

About our Bed & Breakfast The Edwardian Lady was built in 1912 and retains much of her original character with wide natural trim, hardwood floors, beamed dining room ceiling and leaded glass windows. Stroll to the end of our tree lined street and walk over a footbridge to connect with London's downtown in just 5 minutes. Situated at the historical heart of the city at the "Forks of the Thames River", The Edwardian Lady is within a short walking distance to parks, walking & bike paths, restaurants, theatre, museums, library and shops. The Covent Garden Market and the new John Labatt Centre are only a five minute walk from here as are the river and parkways. We are only a 10 minute drive to the university and to each of our London hospitals as well as numerous shopping malls. We are also only a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the Grand Theatre, Richmond Row and Victoria Park. We are a 12 minute walk to Wortley Village with it's unique shops and restaurants. We are an eight minute drive from The Western Fair and its various facilities. Our HIGHLAND ROOM with queen bed and private bathroom has a desk and comfortable easy chair for curling up with a good book. Our COLONIAL ROOM with double bed is suitable for a single person and can be rented with a private bath. Either the Highland or the Colonial can be rented separately with private baths OR DISCOUNTED for families or friends travelling together who don't mind sharing a bathroom, WHEN BOTH ROOMS are booked together. Our newest room, TREETOPS, overlooks the tops of the trees into the backyard. It has a queen bed, private ensuite bathroom and private ensuite kitchenette with cupboards, sink, tea and coffee making facilities and a bar fridge but no cooking facilities. Inquire about our long term rates/full breakfast. Our guest parlour has both a television and reading material. The covered front verandah is yours to enjoy seasonally. Hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, and hand soap are supplied. Close (walking distance) to Robert Q and About Town airport shuttles, Via Rail and Greyhound. Close to several city bus routes. Healthy continental breakfast included (Choice of cereals, yoghurts, seasonal fresh fruit, breads/croissants/ scones, juices, coffee, tea)*Enquire about our full breakfasts available in the cooler months.
